Creative Computing with Scratch - Intro to Scratch 3.0
On January 2nd, a new generation of Scratch, called Scratch 3.0, will be officially released. This new version will include a brand new editor (with new characters, backgrounds, and sounds), new extensions, new support materials — and it runs on a wider variety of devices (including tablets!). Come join Kreg Hanning, member of the MIT Scratch Team, in a playful introduction to Scratch 3.0. Together we will explore the new features of Scratch 3.0 and discover extensions that can add new capabilities to Scratch by using new hardware (e.g. micro:bit) and software (e.g. Google Translate, Text to Speech) coding blocks.
