The Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA) through Departamento de Electrónica e Informática, La Comisión Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología de El Salvador (CONACYT) and the Cyted Network of Big Data and Decision Support Systems in Agriculture (BigDssAgro) are pleased to invite professionals, academics, researchers and companies related to the work of innovation in agriculture to participate in the I Forum of Companies, Government and Academy in Big Data and Support Systems for the Decision for Agriculture (ForoBigDssAgro 2020), which will take place October 5 and 6, 2020 in the ICAS Building of the UCA, San Salvador , El Salvador .

The BigDSSAgro forum is dedicated to decision support systems in agriculture and various solutions of the different branches of engineering to agriculture in the Latin American region. The solutions combine models, databases (Bigdata) and algorithms to support many real-world decision-making problems. Access to cheap sensor technology, drones, weather data and forecasts, satellite information on soils, humidity and more is causing a revolution with the emergence of Big Data and opening the door to the development and application of new optimization and simulation models in Agriculture and agrifood industries.

On the other hand, the forum aims to be a space for discussion, of problems presented by the different cooperatives in the region. In addition, a space for rapprochement between government, private industries and academic sector; It will also show the experiences of cooperatives from countries with higher levels of productivity or successful experiences within the Central American region.
