GIGLIO DI SANT’ ANTONIO 2017 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
THERE WILL BE NO SHIRTS HANDED OUT DURING THE GIGLIO FEAST
DEADLINE TO SIGNUP AND RECEIVE A SHIRT BY MAIL IN TIME FOR THE FEAST IS MONDAY AUGUST 7TH 2017
We hope to see everyone on Pleasant Avenue for this year’s Giglio feast.
Sunday August 13th, see the amazing dancing of the 72 foot tall, 5 ton Giglio atop the shoulders of our members!!
This year’s Feast will run from Thursday August 10th through Sunday August 13th
2017 GIGLIO SOCIETY OF EAST HARLEM BUILD SCHEDULE
- Friday July 28th 2017:
10:00 A.M. – The Building of the Base of the Giglio on Pleasant Avenue and 114 Street – We are asking for all members and friends to please help. We need all the help we can get!!! Please come down and pitch in anyway! Everyone is useful!
- Saturday July 29th 2017:
8:00 A.M. – The Building of the Giglio Tower on Pleasant Avenue and 114 Street – We invite all of our members, family and friends to help build our beautiful Statue. We need all the people that love this feast to give us a helping hand, to ensure your Feast continues for generations!!!!!
2017 GIGLIO SOCIETY OF EAST HARLEM MEMBER BBQ
- Saturday August 5th 2017:
8:00 A.M. – The Dressing of the Giglio on Pleasant Avenue and 114 Street
1:00 P.M. – Our Annual B.B.Q. will be held at the same location on Pleasant Avenue and 114th Street. All MEMBERS are welcome!

6:00 P.M. – Feast Opening Night – Featuring “The Brooklyn Keys” playing your Favorite Oldies 8-11pm
- Friday August 10th 2018:
8:00 P.M. – DJ Mike G & MC John Luciano 8-11pm
- Saturday August 11th 2018:
12:00 P.M. – Sant’ Antonio Procession
6:00 P.M. – Hats & Shirts will be distributed to the Children in attendance who will be Lifting The Children’s Giglio
7:00 P.M. – Dancing the Children’s Giglio
8:00 P.M. – Featuring “The Bel Airs” Playing their Doo Wop Sounds 8-11pm
- Sunday August 12th 2018:
12:00 P.M. – Paranza Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shrine Church
1:30 P.M. – First Lift & Dancing the Giglio di Sant’ Antonio
8:00 P.M. – Entertainment by DJ Mike G & MC John Luciano Playing your Favorite Songs 8-11pm
- The Giglio will be danced Sunday August 12th after the Paranza Mass at 1:30 pm
- Monday August 13th 2018:
9:00 A.M. – Taking down the Giglio is as important as all the other events. It is necessary to have all members available to help so this can be accomplished, so that our Face and Base can be stored properly for next years Feast.
“THE GIGLIO WILL BE DANCED RAIN OR SHINE.”
As you can imagine, a lot of planning, preparation and financing are involved in putting together these great events and we thank everyone for your continued support as the results from years past have been phenomenal.
